PAWS for a CAUSE: New UGA students serving the Athens community

Inspired by the University of Georgia motto "To teach, to serve and to inquire into the nature of things," PAUSE for a Cause gives new students the opportunity to give back to the Athens-Clarke County community. Athens-Clarke County is one of the poorest counties in the United States. This is why we are calling on you.  Orientation is asking students to participate in a community service project entitled "PAWS for a CAUSE." Just like Orientation is designed to prepare you for a successful beginning to your UGA experience, with your help, PAWS for a CAUSE will provide students at 14 local elementary schools with the supplies they need to start their own school year off the right way.

Last year's Orientation Service Project was a huge success. Given the recent economic situation, these schools still need your help.

The Orientation Service Project is a collaboration between the University of Georgia Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Clarke County School District. For more information on Paws for a Cause, click here.
